1. Who are we?

Right2bet is an organisation comprising consumers from across the European Union who believe in a citizen's right to choose.
We're a consumer-led campaign which strongly believes that all EU citizens should benefit from the enhanced value, choice & innovation that an open market brings, be it in the gambling industry or any other.

2. Why should I sign this petition?

3. Is there a limit on how many times I can sign?

Yes. You're vote will only count once, but please feel free to share righ2bet's message with your friends and colleagues.


4. Do I have to be a citizen of a certain country to sign?

No. We're after the support of everyone who believes in one's freedom of choice and fairness.

5. How old do I need to be for my vote to count?

You need to be 18 or over to sign our petition.

6. What needs to happen for the right2bet campaign to be satisfied?

We will be satisfied when the European Commission fulfils its duty to implement EU law. Freedom of Services is a fundamental principle of EU law and currently where gambling is concerned, it is not being implemented by all EU Member States. When this changes, our campaign will come to an end.

7. What is the relevance of the Lisbon Treaty?

If The Lisbon Treaty is ratified, right2bet will seek to win the race to be the first organisation to take a petition of one million signatures to the European Commission as a result of the new European Citizens' Initiative (ECI). This Initiative allows EU citizens who collect one million signatures from a significant number of Member States to ask the Commission to submit a proposal on any matters of competence of the Union.


8. What is the role of my MEP?

Your MEP was elected to represent you in the European Parliament. Their job is to raise issues in Brussels that matter to you, and ensure that your opinions and beliefs are being effectively represented on the European stage.

9. When is this petition closing?

There is no closing date. We'll do what it takes to make our voices heard, no matter how long it takes!

10. Will my details be passed on or used by any third parties?

No. Your email address will only be used for petition-ratification purposes and will not be passed on to any other third party.
